The South Coast Women’s organisations directory is more than just a list of phone numbers. It is a functional regional map designed to help find women-led and women-focused support services, medical specialists, and community groups.  Specifically designed to highlight organisations led by women or dedicated to serving women.

The South Coast is a big region, stretching from the Illawarra down to the Sapphire Coast, so I have created this page to help ensure services are searchable, visible, and accessible to everyone.

Finding women-focused support on the map

The directory is built on a proximity search system. This means finding help that is actually local. Whether searching for a women’s health specialist in Nowra, a support group in Wollongong, or a women-led community service in Bega, the map shows who is nearby.

This section of the site is specifically for:

  • Women-Led Medical and Health Specialists: Doctors, psychologists, and Allied Health professionals.

  • Women’s Support Services: NDIS providers, counselling services, and specialists in women’s safety and well-being.

  • Community Groups: Local non-profits, volunteer organisations, and groups led by women to support regional growth.

  • Advocacy and Education: Organisations focused on women’s rights, legal support, and community education programmes.

Why visibility matters for local organisations

The technical heavy lifting is managed behind the scenes to ensure this directory performs well on search engines.

Whilst local support groups and women-led non-profits do amazing work, they do not have the time to manage technical SEO or web development.

Listing an organisation here provides a connection to a piece of digital infrastructure designed to get found.

The directory handles the complex map features and search optimisations so that organisations can focus on their vital work for the women of the South Coast.

How to add an organisation to the map

Women-led support services, medical practices, and community groups are encouraged to join the map. It is a simple, automated process to get started:

  1. Create an account: Sign up as an organisation.

  2. Fill in the details: Use the to ensure the description is optimised for search.

  3. Verification: Every listing is verified to ensure the directory remains a high-quality, professional resource for the region.

This directory provides a practical tool to support the people who support the women of our community.
